Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 14th wedding anniversary! Who can believe that all these years later we'd have three kids, including a 3-week old? Especially since we were just going to have dogs & travel! It's been a fun, bumpy, surprising, and wonderful journey that feels like forever & an instant all at the same time. We wouldn't change any of it for the world! We can't wait to see what our Roller Coaster of Love has in store for us in this next year & beyond....say what!?!

Monday

Henson Christmas

Since Bob & Randi were in TN for Christmas this year, we celebrated with them on Sunday. We had a delicious brunch of all the good stuff, including SOS, fried potatoes, and monkey bread. We opened gifts, then played and hung out until it was naptime. It was a fun way to kick off Christmas week!

Wednesday

Merry Christmas!

"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipped Him. "
--Matthew 2:10-11

Christmas Artwork

Here are some of the crafts that Hampton made at Mom's Day Out this month. We especially love the Santa list that says we need another computer. That's pretty much the last thing we need! Who knows where he comes up with this stuff? No matter....we just love all the cute memories of the holiday season!

Monday

Harrison's Birthday

Harrison's birthday was very low-key, since we'd had a combined party for the boys back in November. We celebrated with a special dinner, a few fun gifts, and cupcakes to finish out the night. Harrison seemed to have lots of fun with his goodies AND attempting to eat his cupcakes with a fork. And yes, we said cupcakes. He wouldn't be satisfied until he had three different ones to play with. Whatever...it was his birthday, after all!

Christmas Light Show At The Wharf

After dinner one night, we put on our pjs and headed out to see the Christmas light show at The Wharf. It's a light show set to Christmas music, and it was really neat. The weather was nice, and the boys absolutely loved it. We danced to the music, oohed and ahhed over the lights, and just had a great time being together as a family. Baby girl didn't care one thing about it...sleeping all the way through the show...but the boys loved it enough for her! Hampton enjoyed it so much that he fell asleep on the way home.

Tuesday

MDO Music Show

The 3-year-old classes at Hampton's Mother's Day Out program performed for all the parents last week. They sang 3 songs, and we were so excited to see Hampton and his little friends that we bundled Hayden Kate up and took her with us to see the show. We use a cover for the car seat, so she wasn't in any danger of grubby little hands, and we were still able to get to her & show her off to our adult friends.

The performance was exactly as we'd hoped it would be...a complete, hilarious mess! They sang Away in a Manger, Jingle Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. It was the cutest thing ever to see the children singing & doing their arm motions to each song. What was really funny, though, was the kids who were singing completely wrong songs or the ones who stood there the whole time with their arms crossed. Hampton sang with gusto, and he really did a great job keeping the rhythm of the songs. We are so, so happy that we got to see the performance and we look forward to seeing many, many more in the years to come!

Monday

First Week Home

Our first week home was a great one. Bo was off of work Monday & Tuesday and half a day on Wednesday & Thursday, which was so nice. We did a few fun things with the boys, including taking them to the kangaroo exhibit at the zoo. Hayden Kate slept, ate, and slept some more! We also had newborn photos made, and we can't wait to see all of them!  And when Hampton headed back to school, this sign was waiting for him outside his classroom....so cute!

Happy One Week Birthday, Hayden Kate!

We can't believe it, but baby Hayden Kate is one week old today. Even though she's only been here for a few days, we are SO in love with this little girl! Here are some of our favorite photos from our hospital stay....enjoy!
