Change of Plans

When we woke up to thunder on Saturday morning, we knew our Easter Egg Hunt plans had been cancelled. It was way too wet to play outside, but we had promised Hampton a day of fun (and the child has a killer memory!), so we improvised. First we headed to Walmart for errands and saw the Easter Bunny. At first, Hampton didn't know what to think, but after having a moment to reflect after we walked away, he decided he liked him & wanted to see him again. So after another visit, we left & headed to a indoor playground lunch at ChickFilA.

Afterwards, we were driving past the train museum, and Hampton started cheering "Trains! Trains!". Why not stop, right? Especially since it's free! We stayed there for a good long while and then zoomed home for Hampton to have a power nap. At which point, we scooped everyone up and headed to the beach, where we played until dark. None of this was in the plans on Friday night, but our unplanned day turned into a wonderfully fun day filled with great memories. If things can't go the way we thought, at least they can be better than we imagined!
