Dylan's Birthday

Saturday was also Hampton's friend Dylan's 1st birthday. He is such a sweet little boy and we were so happy to be able to celebrate with him! We had lots of fun watching him eat his cake, play with his fun new toys, as well as check out their beautiful new bamboo floors and see Leigh's cute wreath craft projects. We hope you had a very happy birthday, Dylan!

What is more fun....toys or money? Dylan liked the toys best!

Tuesday

Our Love/Hate Santa Visit

Well, Hampton's Santa experience was a varied one! We went from this......

....to this.....

....and this.....
...and, unfortunately, back to this!

Oh, well. Maybe we'll have better luck next weekend at The Wharf!

Monday

Santa At The Zoo

This weekend was so jam-packed with activities that we can't share them all in one day! On Saturday morning, we headed to the zoo for a visit with Santa and to see the animals. Since we have season passes, we wanted to make sure we went and were able to take Paul & Jan, who were visiting this weekend. Well, the Santa visit was an experience (more on that tomorrow), but as always, Hampton loved seeing all the animals. We roared at lions, called at the ducks, saw the baby tiger, and watched Hamp run wide open all over the place. It was a great way to start off the weekend!

Even though we bring our wagon, this is Hamp's preferred method of getting around!

Thursday

We Have A New Nephew!

Tanner's brother and sister-in-law had their new baby boy today. His name is John Henry Henson, and he was born at 2:03pm and weighed 7 lbs 11 oz, which is exactly what Hampton weighed! We're looking forward to meeting our new nephew very soon! Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Henry!

Wednesday

Thanksgiving

Lunch at Tanner's Grandparents' house is a Thanksgiving tradition. The meal is Tanner's favorite of the year, and she starts talking about it months before. (Really sad, we know, but then again, if you have ever had her Grandmother's dressing or macaroni & cheese, you'd understand!) We were looking forward to Hampton entertaining the family, but Hampton ended up being entertained by the little dog that lived next door. She was a dachshund and was very hyper. Hampton didn't quite know what to think about all the jumping, but he really enjoyed playing with her and saying "dog" over and over. Tanner's Grandmother didn't appreciate the dog being let inside by Tanner's Granddad, though! Even with an extra little visitor, lunch was wonderful as always and a fun time was had by all!

Tuesday

We're Here, Just Exhausted!

Well, we're back! It's been crazy around here, and we're gearing up for all the goings-on that are just around the corner.

What have we been up to? A week before Thanksgiving, our friend Sarah Neil arrived from TN. We spent the week playing, shopping, and mostly having fun, although there were a few hiccups (it is NOT fun to have a flat tire on the way to Dauphin Island!). Somehow, though, we managed to not take a single photo!

Sarah Neil rode back to TN with us for the Thanksgiving, where we were immediately busy trying to squeeze everything in to a few days. We had a wonderful meal with Tanner's family, saw our dear friend Trellis and her daughter Addie, visited a few friends in Pulaski, shopped in Nashville, and hung out with Bo's parents. We also stopped by to see the Henson family in Birmingham, who will be adding a new baby to the family this week!

We made it back home late Sunday night, exhausted but glad to be home. We now have to unpack, clean, decorate for Christmas, and get ready for all the hustle-and-bustle that is quickly headed our way!
