Hayden Kate loves tags. On everything. When she plays with toys, the first thing she does is find the tag. Then it goes in her mouth. Today we snapped some pics of her playing with her Minnie Mouse. The look of joy on her face while chewing on the tag cracks us up. Get it, girl!

First Meal
We finally got around to starting Hayden Kate on solid foods last night. We started with rice cereal, and after the first bite (shown in the 2nd photo), she seemed to like it! Here's to a lifetime of trying new foods and the various reactions that come along with it!
Tuesday
Natchez
This weekend, we headed to Natchez, MS for the big Kelly's Kids sale. We'd heard lots about it, and wanted to check it out for ourselves. We met up with Tanner's brother & sister-in-law to scope out the deals & just have fun.
Besides shopping the sale, we got to eat at some awesome places. We had yummy BBQ, killer desserts, and the most delicious cinnamon roll waffles you could imagine. The town was so quaint, and every person we spoke with was incredibly nice. And their famous houses were HUGE!!!
It was a great adult-only weekend, and we are already thinking about next year's trip!
Monday
Summer Is Here!
As of Saturday, summer is officially here! We have a summer bucket list that we're working on, filled with fun warm-weather activities. We've done a few already, with many more hopefully to come. We hope everyone has a fun-filled summer making memories with family & friends!
Friday
Swim Blessin's
It's that time again...swim Blessin's (as Hamp calls them). He loved them so much last year, and he has talked about them all year long. So this summer, we signed him up for 3 weeks worth. This week was the first week, and we are exhausted! Ha! We have a break until after July 4th, so hopefully we'll rest up to be ready to go again. Hampton made some great progress this week, so we're hoping he'll be a fish by the end of the summer!
Thursday
Hot Air Balloon Festival
Saturday night, we headed to the annual hot air balloon festival in Foley. The balloons only fly at dawn & dusk, so we planned to be there right around 7pm. Instead, we got stuck in traffic for over an hour, and had to watch the balloons take off from our car. We were aggravated, but we decided to make the most of it anyway. We are so glad we did! The balloons all came back & lit up the night with their glowing flames. Plus, they were doing tethered rides up & down, so we did get to see them fly. The boys had a great time watching them & enjoying a sno cone treat!
Tuesday
Father's Day Recap
We had a great Father's Day! We started the morning with church, then came home & cooked lunch for Paul & Jan. Bo made sliders & we had all the fixins, including strawberry shortcake....delicious! After lunch, we headed to the OB waterfront park, where we let the boys play in the water for hours. When it was finally time to go home, both boys fell asleep in the car & didn't wake up until the next morning. To us, that's definitely a sign of a good day!

Circus Time!
On Sunday, we went to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey circus in Mobile. Both Bo and I remember going as children, so we thought it would be a fun time for the kiddos. Hayden Kate enjoyed it until it actually started, so we took turns walking around with her. Hampton was thrilled to see the animals, especially the elephant and camels. Harrison liked everything about it, and has been asking to go back! We guess he doesn't understand that our house is like a circus everyday! Hahaha!
Wednesday
Playing in the Pool
Last night we headed up to Grandi & Granddaddy's house to play & eat dinner. We found this little pool last year after the season & we thought it be fun at their house (they have no snakes & a big flat yard). The boys loved it, splashing & flipping off the little slide area. We're sure to get some summer fun out of this one!
Tuesday
Dinner With Friends
Last night, we were lucky enough to have dinner with Carolyn & Tom Rains. They have been friends with Tanner's parents since Tanner was around Hampton's age, and since they were in town, we couldn't pass up a chance to see them.
We went to Big Daddy's Grill on Fish River, which is one of our favorite places to eat. We hadn't been since the massive flooding back in April, so we weren't sure if there would be any leftover damage or not. Thankfully, everything looked just the same, and we had a great meal with great friends!
Monday
Baby Checkup
MToday was Hayden Kate's 6-month well baby visit. She was great...measuring in at 66% in weight and 87% in length. We just have long babies! Everyone kept telling us how cute she was and how good she was being....until shot time arrived! That said, who would want to be stuck with 3 needles in a row? Let's just say that her mommy will NEVER have anything to say about being upset about needles!
Thursday
Happy 6-Month Birthday!
Happy 6-Month Birthday to our darling Hayden Kate! She is the most precious completion to our family, and each of us is wrapped around her pudgy little fingers. We are so blessed to have her in our lives, and even though we are sad that 6 months have gone too quickly, we cannot wait to see what the next 6 months bring for our little girl!

School's Back!
Yesterday was the first day of summer school at MDO. Hampton was so excited to go back & see his friends, and Harrison was excited to start school for the first time. We were so happy for Harrison, but we were a little sad that he's such a big boy now. We were also a little worried about how he'd act once he got there.
Apparently, we worried for nothing. He played great with his friends & his beloved Ms. Amy, his teacher that is also our nursery worker at church. He adores her! It was a great first day, and we are looking forward to a summer full of fun!
