A Hairy Situation
With school starting back in a couple if weeks, it was time to get Hampton's hair cut. Tanner usually does it, but since we wanted to try a little longer 'do than usual, we decided to head back to a salon. The last time we took him really didn't go well, but Bo needed a cut, too, so he braved it with him.

Planes
This weekend was one we'd been looking forward to for a while....the debut of the movie Planes. When we heard about it early last year, we knew that it would be the perfect first movie experience for the boys. The only full-length movies they've ever seen are Cars & Cars 2, so since this was "from the world of Cars", we knew it was the one. We were a little worried when it was being advertised in 3D, because we're against those for littles, but thankfully our theatre was showing in regular, too.
We headed to the Friday matinee with a theatre of other children their age, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Hampton was riveted & did awesome, and Harrison was a champ...although he did need to take a little mid-movie walk with Daddy! The movie itself did not disappoint....it was simple, cute, not scary, and had a great message. We doubt we'll be back until there's another cute, innocent movie released, but it was a great experience & fun for the whole family!

Paparazzi Pics
Sometimes we feel like paparazzi, snapping pics of our unknowing subjects while they are still for one second. We may never get rich selling photos of our subjects, but we do think that they're pretty priceless!

Weekend Update
The word of the weekend was SHOP. This weekend was the tax free weekend, so we stayed busy picking up back to school clothes, shoes, diapers, and even stocking up on Christmas gifts thanks to Target's annual 70% off toy sale. We squeezed in a Sams Club stock up & stopped by Sherwin Williams to finalize paint colors for the littles' rooms. We also did some work shopping by going to a regional gift show in Biloxi. Meanwhile, the boys stayed busy playing at the park & water fountains with Paul & Jan.
We will have to say that even though it was a very productive weekend, we're SOOO glad that we don't spend much time shopping like that. It was exhausting & not nearly as much fun as it used to be. That must be what happens when you grow up and find out that the important things in life are not things at all!

Going Muddin'
This summer has been super soggy here, with rain almost every day since July 4th weekend. The silver lining to this is that it's made for some awesome puddles to jump in! Recently, we were playing at Grandi & Grandaddy's house after one of the many storms. Instead of staying inside, we headed out to the yard & got to splashing! Hampton called the puddles "the slish" and all the trains & cars got a turn sinking into the rain water (helped a bit by the slip & slide). Boys love to make a mess, and we just embrace it....we don't even care if they change into play clothes! It will all come out in the wash, and we're too busy making memories!
